The Lakes Area Violet Growers is an affiliate club of the AVSA.
The Lakes Area Violet Growers came together in June of '95. Our aim is to promote the knowledge of growing and enjoying African violets, through our club and other mediums.
The Lakes Area Violet Growers meetings are held at the Vadnais Heights Fire Dept. Building, 3595 Arcade St. in Vadnais Heights. It is just West of Wal-Mart, 1/2 mile West of 35E and County Road E. We strive to keep our meetings enjoyable, relaxed and informational and welcome new members. See monthly schedule below.
The Lakes Area Violet Growers has held an annual Spring AVSA Show since 1996. At our show you will find many varieties available for purchase, plants or leaf cuttings, as well as other african violet related items. Enjoy the opportunity to talk with other violet growers, especially if you have questions about growing African violets.
The Lakes Area Violet Growers holds a non-judged display and sale in October each year.
The Lakes Area Violet Growers also puts on growing seminars at librarys, greenhouses, and community centers. Many garden and senior citizen clubs find this an enjoyable change for their regular meetings. If your club is interested, please contact us.

Monthly Meeting Schedule:
Meetings are held on the 3rd Saturday at the Vadnais Heights Fire Dept. Building, 3595 Arcade St. in Vadnais Heights. We begin each meeting with coffee and casual discusion at 10:00 AM. Our regular meeting and program begins at 11:00 AM. You need not be a member to attend our workshops and it is open to all who wish to attend free of any charge.
