A. Afrian violets come in three basic sizes. Standards, Semi-miniature and Miniatures or minis. This is referring to their size. A standard can reach up to 24" if maintained in the proper size pot. Semi-miniature (semi-minis) should not be any larger than 8 inches and for the minis no larger than 6 inches. For this reason, it is recommended to keep the pot size of the mini's to 2 1/4 inches or smaller. For semi-minis, pots should be no larger than 3 inches.
